Psychometric testing is a method of uncovering the interviewee's personality traits, with focus usually on attributes such as intelligence, aptitude and personality. This gives employees an idea of how you will fit into the workplace and how you might handle various situations.

An assessment centre isn't actually a place, it's a type of recruitment process.
These assessments may include mock activities of the type of tasks that you will be expected to carry out in the role you have applied for. The sessions often include interviews, group activities and presentations.
