Pathway to becoming a CPA

- You must have finished your degree and have done the subjects that CPA Australia has prescribed (usually, but not always, included in the degree).
- You must join CPA Australia as an Associate member. This gives you some of the benefits of membership and lets you enrol in the CPA Program.
- Complete the CPA Program. From 2004, this will mean doing six subjects at post graduate level. Most study will be done by distance learning, but there will be some workshops.
- You must have completed three years of 'mentored' work experience. This will give you an excellent start to a business career as extensive experience helps you develop the necessary work skills and appropriate technical expertise. It will get your career off to a flying start.
