Accounting and auditing handbooks
The 2008 editions of the Accounting handbook and the Auditing, assurance and ethics handbook are now available to purchase online.
CPA Australia prepared handbooks are invaluable portable resources on current accounting and auditing standards. Both handbooks offer supporting material by CPA Australia technical advisers.
The 2008 edition of the Auditing, assurance and ethics handbook contains all the new and revised Australian auditing standards, auditing guidance statements and guidance statements issued by the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board.
It also contains the Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards Board's code of ethics for professional accountants.
The 2008 edition of the Accounting handbook contains information from the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) including:
- the institutional framework governing accounting standard setting
- statements of accounting concepts
- accounting standards issued by the AASB
- accounting interpretations issued by the Urgent Issues Group
- AASB policy statement
All documents in the handbook were published prior to 16 November 2007. Documents issued or revised after the publication date are accessible from the Accounting Handbook Companion website and the Auditing, Assurance and Ethics Handbook Companion website.
